FIRST STEPS INTO THE SCIENTIFIC WORLD
On June 15 this year, the participants of the expedition "Туған елге тағзым" - students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Karaganda visited laboratories, sites of natural flora and endemic plants of the International Scientific and Production Holding "Phytochemistry".
Young visitors got acquainted with the herbarium fund, endemic plant species, methods of conservation and reproduction of rare and endangered plant species.
In the laboratories, students got acquainted in detail with the processes of isolation and purification of biologically active compounds from plant materials.
The vivarium and work with experimental animals on the pharmacological study of medicinal substances and new herbal preparations aroused great interest among future biologists and phytochemists.
This visit to students and their acquaintance with the divisions of the research and production enterprise is a continuation of the long-term cooperation between the teams of JSC "IRPH "Phytochemistry" and NIS.
