Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to JSC “RPC “Phytochemistry”
On August 7, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Djoukhar Ali Akbar, visited the Joint Stock Company “Research and Production Center “Phytochemistry” (Republic of Kazakhstan, Karaganda). The Ambassador was accompanied by the Counselor of the Embassy, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini.
During the visit, the Iranian delegation got acquainted with the botanical garden, collection areas of endemic and medicinal plants, laboratories of the Research and Production Center “Phytochemistry”, production areas of the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Plant, scientific developments and pharmaceutical products produced by the enterprise.

During the meeting, the General Director of the Research and Production Center “Phytochemistry”, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor S.M. Adekenov, Director of the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Plant, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences E.G. Tolokonnikov, Scientific Secretary of the Research and Production Center “Phytochemistry” O.V. Maslova discussed issues of bilateral scientific and technical cooperation of the Kazakhstan Research and Production Center “Phytochemistry” with universities and pharmaceutical companies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in terms of chemical and pharmacological study of endemic species of medicinal plants growing in Iran and Kazakhstan, isolation and identification of biologically active substances from them and development of original drugs based on them.
