Cooperation with Chinese Partners Expands
Scientific and technological cooperation in the fields of phytochemistry, pharmacology, and the technology of original phytopreparations between JSC "Research and Production Center 'Phytochemistry'" and Chinese universities, research centers, and pharmaceutical companies is expanding.
In November 2024, a joint scientific project titled "Isolation and Structural Elucidation of Biologically Active Alkaloids from Plant Raw Materials, Study of Their Localization and Biosynthesis in Plant Organs" was prepared in collaboration with Professor Ren Xiang Tan of Nanjing University. This project has been submitted for the 2025–2027 grant competition.
Negotiations are underway with Li Changhua, General Director of the Ningbo International Science and Innovation Center, regarding financing for the establishment of a joint venture for the development and production of original phytopreparations.

On December 14, 2024, a delegation from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China, led by Deputy Director Sun Jian, visited the laboratories and pilot pharmaceutical production facilities of JSC "Scientific and Production Center 'Phytochemistry'." The delegation included: Zhan Yanyi, Head of the Drug Production Supervision Department; Tang Di, Head of the Drug Registration Department; Lu Jianping, Head of the Market Supervision and Regulation Bureau of Baodi City; Li Jun, Head of the Market Supervision and Regulation Bureau of Hanzhong City; Wei Yuanbin, Deputy Director of Xi’an Hospital; Wei Xiangfeng, Head of the Pharmaceutical Factory of Xi’an Hospital.
During the visit, the Chinese delegation was introduced to the collection of medicinal plants, the herbarium fund, samples, analytical regulatory documents of original phytopreparations, and the quality control process for both raw materials and finished pharmaceutical forms. Discussions focused on potential cooperation opportunities, the registration of original Kazakhstani medicines in China, and the prospects for using original phytopreparations in traditional Chinese medicine.
