Kazakhstan’s Phytochemistry is Expanding with Siberian Biotechnology
On March 11–12 of this year, a delegation from a Russian biotechnology company under the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences visited the Research and Production Center "Phytochemistry" JSC. The delegation included Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Yuri Alexandrovich Manakov, Viktor Matveevich Murashov, and other specialists.
The Russian biotechnologists familiarized themselves with the developments of Karaganda phytochemists and the organization of original phytopharmaceutical production.
During the visit, the delegation toured the laboratories and production facilities of the Research and Production Center "Phytochemistry." They also held meetings with leading scientists and young specialists from the center.
Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the development of the market for original phytoproducts, cooperation in high-tech phytochemical manufacturing, and training highly qualified specialists in phytochemistry and biotechnology. The parties explored opportunities for mutual internships for young specialists in modern phytochemical methods and pharmaceutical production technologies. Additionally, they discussed scientific and technical collaboration on establishing a next-generation biofactory based on advanced technological and digital platforms as a joint venture for the production of export-oriented phytochemical products. Other key topics included promoting Russian and Kazakhstani bioproducts in the market, plantation cultivation of endemic plant species from Kazakhstan and Siberia, institutional and infrastructural development of the bioeconomy in Russia and Kazakhstan, ecosystem restoration through medicinal plant cultivation technologies, the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies in phytochemical production, and the global promotion of biotechnological products.
