The Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.V. Sklyar visits JSC "International Research and Production Holding Phytochemistry" and LLP "Karaganda Pharmaceutical Plant"

The Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.V. Sklar during a working visit on March 15, 2019 to the Karaganda region visited JSC International Research and Production Holding Phytochemistry and LLP Karaganda Pharmaceutical Plant. The main direction of the International Research and Production Holding “Phytochemistry” is research and production work on the development of original drugs, the creation of high technologies for their production, meeting the requirements of international GMP standards and their introduction into big scale production.

During the visit, Mr. Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, familiarized himself with unique innovative technologies introduced into the production sites of Phytochemistry Holding and Karaganda Pharmaceutical Plant, such as: phased quality control of drug production according to international GMP standards, carbon dioxide and liquid extraction of medicinal raw materials, preparative and centrifugal distribution chromatography for the separation and purification of substances, fluidized drying substance original products and coated tablets, which are planned to introduce in the pharmaceutical enterprises of the republic.
In pursuance of the Order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev No. 18-01-7.12 dated September 6, 2018 To expand pharmaceutical production in the Karaganda region, namely to ensure the production of finished pharmaceutical products on the basis of Phytochemistry Holding and the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Plant in Karaganda, the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Regional Cluster is organized and is functioning, bringing together 17 enterprises involved in the formation of the added value of the finished pharmaceutical products. The Karaganda Pharmaceutical Regional Cluster will effectively implement the results of research and development and innovative technologies in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as commercialize scientific advances and prepare qualified specialists for the domestic pharmaceutical industry. For the development of this cluster, a program on innovative technologies for the development of the production of original drugs for 2020-2022 has been prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This program is aimed at introducing innovative technologies into production in order to increase competitiveness and expand the production of original Kazakhstani drugs. The Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan supported the above-mentioned program and suggested including the development issues of the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Regional Cluster in the Pharmaceutical Roadmap.
